Hell if I know. I'd been over visiting, and I suppose Zechs had intended to visit as well, and she'd forgotten by the time he got there. He took one look at me and walked back out.

My suggestion to you, and to Miss Relena, is to let some time pass. Zechs loves his sister, and only wishes to see her happy. Considering he has had little contact with her even before this point, it would...serve to reason that he would respond so strongly when he sees her becoming involved, and particularly with someone who he has, in his mind, clashed with recently.

[Snort] As if I'd been planning to get in his way.

Look, would you just... get him to speak to her again if he doesn't soon? He can ignore or hate me all he likes; I'm not asking to be accepted. I'm not interested in being accepted. But... I hate seeing her like this.

I think, personally, that Relena would appreciate it if there was acceptance, if not at least some mutual respect, and considering Zechs's background with diplomacy, he likely would be open to it. Both of you never even crossed paths during the Second Eve War; you have both changed since then.

[Through slightly clenched teeth] I'm not looking to pick a fight with him, but I don't think there's going to be any sort of sudden epiphany and blossoming friendship between us anytime soon.

No, but if you are going to...be a part of the Peacecraft family, it does no one any good on either side to be at odds with Relena's decision while all of us here, ironically, want what is the best for her.
It is also my understanding that, despite what you may think of Zechs, he and Lady Une get along despite their attempts to [A pause...terminate?] do each other in previously.

And yet this goes beyond work and personal relationships - Relena is his sister. It is not something that is uncommon or peculiar, in my experience, for siblings to remain defensive of those that they care about, and only want to see their family members in the best situations when they themselves have had so much hardship.

Considering the situation, they acted as they saw fit to bring out the best possible future. It was a calculated risk.
[Noin's tone starts to shift, growing slightly colder.]

I'm afraid "considering it" is out of the question at this point; you are involved in these relationships as an adult. If you are unwilling to listen, then I'm afraid I can't help you.

And I will keep in mind that you are unwilling to aid in encouraging them to mend their relationship- which is all I am trying to do.
